Motorola MOTO Z2 Play render

Motorola MOTO Z2 Play render

Motorola’s flagship for this year. Recently Technobuffalo got its hands on renders of the budget sibling, MOTO Z2 Play which will replace the current MOTO Z Play. Motorola, is doing well with its recent MOTO G series doing strongly in sales with more budget offerings in the pipes to cover the rest of the market.

Many Moto smartphones are in the works for release this year, according to recent leaks, and now the Moto Z2 Play has joined the bandwagon. Alleged Moto Z2 Play renders have leaked online, and show the device from all angles.

The device has been leaked by TechnoBuffalo this time, and it shows the back, front and side of the Moto Z2 Play. All in all, the Moto Z2 Play looks a lot like its powerhouse predecessor Moto Z Play, except for probably the Home Button design. The camera module still juts out at the back, protected by a metal ring on the edges. The volume and power buttons are both housed on the right edge of the device. The Moto Z2 Play also has the connected pins at the back bringing support for Moto Mods. There’s also a front flash, and the

Moto logo sits in the centre at the back.

The original MOTO Z Play was a cheaper entry point for someone who wanted to get in the modular bandwagon without paying the premium for the Z Force variant. The device featured a modest Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which could be expanded via a microSD slot. But what really mattered was the 3510mAh battery. This combined with the superbly efficient SoC and 5.5-inch full-HD display gave the MOTO Z Play an enviable standby time even before you snapped on a battery MOD.
